n B4 WESTMAN THIS WEEK n THE BRANDON SUN THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 2025 Chili bowls sale returns to Gala of Gifts

The Gala of Gifts, a holiday tra- dition at the Art Gallery of South- western Manitoba since 1988, is returning in 2025 on Saturday Nov. 29 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The centrepiece of the event is a gift market featuring original handmade art and products from local artists and artisans from Brandon and throughout Westman. Visitors may expect to find the gallery transformed with classic holiday cheer, live music, and 26 different vendors for ev- eryone on their gift list. This year also features the much-anticipated biennial Great Big Little Chili Bowl Sale, which is hosted by AGSM ce- ramic studio students who have hand-made 200 individual bowls for serving chili from our neigh- bours at Komfort Kitchen. Up the hallway, the Children’s Stu- dio will be Santa’s Workshop for the day, with creative activities for the young and the young- at-heart to enjoy. If all of that weren’t enough, there will also be a raffle table with prizes from artists and local partners, and all for just a $2 cash entry fee! Under six years old get in free! All proceeds from our annu- al Gala of Gifts and AGSM Gift Shop directly support artists and AGSM programming. Shopping local benefits artists in our com- munity, children’s art classes, upcoming exhibitions, and also gives local artists and artists-to- be unique opportunities to learn and display their creativity!
