So the entrants use this competition as a way to donate to the community,” he says. The 2025 recipients were: Christian Aid Ministries, Neepawa Health Hospital, Ronald McDonald House Manitoba and HEART: the Hutterian Emergency Aquatic Response Team. This year’s Pork Quality Luncheon emcee is defi- nitely a fan. “The luncheon always presents some excellent food. It’s a phenomenal meal and It’s worth every penny,” Buhr says. “And for any person interested in connecting with primary producers, understanding where their food comes from and how it goes from a produc- tion facility to their plate, with some opportunities for interaction and to hear about the industry, it’s a great event.” The Pork Quality Luncheon is on Wednesday, April 1 at 11 a.m. Tickets are $55 (includes gate admission) for purchase at the Provincial Exhibition website at shop.authentigate.ca/store/brandonfairs_1/1409 Buffet style service is prepared by The Victoria Inn.
