“We had a lot of people who were able to get low interest rates during the COVID period, and after that the rates started to rise,” Bailey said. “This past year, the Bank of Canada has started to decrease rates, and we’ve followed suit with that. Those who locked in for five years during COVID are now coming up for renewal, so we’re happy that our members can now take advantage of lower rates.” Having that personal relationship with your lender makes it easier to keep in touch when trends shift.
